  4. Hey guys, I know it’s been forever since I’ve given a formal update. Things have been a bit bonkers around here. The artwork I’ve been doing is mostly client-related, so I haven’t been able to show what I’ve been working on. Not only that, but I started a new business mid-last year which has undergone a few mutations and has now finally started to get on track. I will reserve elaborating on that for another blog post about what it’s like to earn a living as an artist, because I am frequently asked by young people and their parents about how you make a living when you draw weird-o characters all day.
Now that I’ve wrapped up a majority of my commitments, I’m planning on doing more personal and experimental work that I can more readily share with you guys. I don’t know why I’m so precious about blog posts, but that’s why most of my online activity has been to my Instagram account: jonknoxstudio. Follow me there for more frequent and informal posts. I’ll be better about posting here though too, pinky swear!

  8. It’s been almost 2 years in the making and 3 months of intensive work, but I’m so excited to finally announce my printing company Permanent Press!
I started making archival/giclée prints of my own art years ago when I couldn’t find a giclee printer that was approachable and had an eye for printing fine art. I thought it would be great to offer the service to other artists at prices that make it feasible for them to resell their prints, so after months of research and experimenting, here we are!
We do both small and large format giclée printing on brand new state of the art printers, with no minimums or setup costs. We also sell premium finishing options like archival backing boards and top quality protective sleeves. You can order and upload directly through the website for an easy and intimidation-free experience.
I hope you’ll check us out and help spread the word!
